The 2021 Grammy Awards had Burna Boy and Wizkid winning big at its Premiere Ceremony on Sunday.
Wizkid won the Best Music Video award for his song, “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyonce and Blue Ivy.
The Best Music Award is given to the artist, video director, and video producer.
Burna Boy on the other hand who has earned two consecutive nominations for the Grammy awards, won Best Global Music Album for his, “Twice As Tall album”.
Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu beat four others to win the Best global music album award.
The Best Global Music Album is given to albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental global music recordings
The two Artists are receiving their first Grammy awards.
This year’s Grammys, also the the 63rd Grammy Awards hosted by Trevor Noah had no audience in attendance due coronavirus pandemic and the performers were separated onto five stages inside the Los Angeles Convention Center to maintain social distancing.
