Igboho/Nnamdi Kanu: Chief of Army Staff and Northern Reps meets to address Succession

Members of the House of Representatives met with the Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, on Saturday in Abuja behind closed doors to discuss threats of secession from Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho, and Asari Dokubo.

The Southern part of Nigeria has been agitating for secession; while the South-East is agitating for Biafra, the South-West is agitating for the Oduduwa Republic, and the South-South is also agitating for Biafra.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, which operates the Eastern Security Network, is led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, while the Oduduwa republic is led by a Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, and an ex-Niger Delta militant, Asari Dokubo, has also declared Biafra Customary Government for the people of South-South.

Members of the House of Representatives, led by Abdul-Razaq Namdas, and the Army Chief did not speak to reporters after the closed-door meeting.

According to a source who prefers anonymity, the Army Chief has vowed that the Army will use all of its powers to crush any ethnic agitation for secession.

According to the source, “the lawmakers discussed two major issues with the Chief of Army Staff.” One is the widespread sense of insecurity across the country. The other is the growing desire among some people to divide the country.”

Remember that the Chief of Army Staff had warned IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and Oduduwa Republic leader Sunday Igboho to stop their separatist agitations or face the Nigeria Army.
