A military aircraft has crashed a few yards off the runway at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
The minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, tweeted confirming the incident.
According to the minister: “A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway. The report has it that the crash was a result of engine failure while en-route to Minna.
It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & await the outcome of an investigation by the military. While we pray for the departed soul/souls, hope it isn’t as bad as it looks. All 7 personnel onboard has also been confirmed dead in a tweet by the Air Vice Marshal.
