What Is the NESA Scholarship?

The National Eagle Scout Association Scholarship is available to all, active member of the Boy Scouts of America who is a high school senior or younger. According to the NESA foundation, with evidence of registration as a member.

 

The scholarship is worth $2,000 and can be used for tuition, books, or other educational expenses. It’s open to all registrants in the Boy Scouts of America, no matter what position they hold.

 

The application must be postmarked by January 31st, and you must have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout or Gold Award recipient.

 

Applications are judged on merit, community service involvement, as well as essays. The essay should be typed with a minimum font size of 12-point Times New Roman.

The scholarship can be used for undergraduate or graduate studies at an accredited college or university of your choice.

 

To be eligible, you must submit a completed application, along with your official Eagle Scout certificate, a letter of recommendation, and a personal statement.

 

Your Eagle Scout records will also be requested by NESA from either the National Boy Scouts of America or the Boy Scouts of America.

 

Additionally, if you are already enrolled in college, it is recommended that you contact your admissions counselor to see if they require any additional information before completing your application.

Timeline And Eligibility

The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) offers scholarships to registered Eagle Scouts who will be attending college in the fall.

 

The application portal opens on December 1st and closes on January 31st. while the chosen candidates are announced every June 10.

 

And To be eligible, you must have earned the Eagle Scout rank. Also have a verified college acceptance letter, and submit a completed application by the deadline.

Award Condition

Firstly, National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) offers scholarships to Eagle Scouts who demonstrate financial need.

 

Also, The award amount varies depending on the cost of attendance at the recipient’s chosen institution. However this can be up to $3,000 per year.

 

To be eligible, applicants must submit a completed application, including transcripts, a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.

 

The deadline to apply is January 31st. Applications are reviewed by NESA staff members and then submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. Applications will not be considered if they are not complete or if all required materials are not submitted by the deadline.

 

Also, the candidate must never exceed the scholarship year, in other the scholarship grant must be used in the same year given.

 

And your GPA must be in the upper third among your peers, and lastly, you be a vibrant and active member of

the national eagle scout association.

 

Other things will be provided along with the scholarships such as room, board, books, and for a good four years.

2022-2023 Available NESA Scholarships

The National Eagle Scout Association offers scholarships for Eagle Scouts who are currently enrolled in college or planning to attend college within the next 12 months.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Firstly, Eligible candidates must have earned the Eagle Scout rank.
  • Secondly, have a minimum 2.5 GPA,
  • Also be active members of their college or university community.
  • NESA Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement.
  • financial need, and leadership skills demonstrated through Scouting and other activities are also important.

 

And the available scholarships for 2022-2023 are not less than 65. While some are scholarships by Lawrence S. and Mabel Cooke, One national four years which cost $48000.

 

And one for four years which cost $16000 per national service territory etc.
