Two Chinese nationals kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Ogun State

A fishery and poultry establishment had its workers consisting of Two Chinese nationals kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Ogun State.

The two foreigners were kidnapped at their workplace in Oba village, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, on Wednesday afternoon.

The gunmen reportedly stormed the neighbourhood about 3 p.m., firing sporadically into the air and causing panic among residents. The invaders were able to pick up their targets and run while citizens scurried for cover.

According to reports reaching Izzygong, the kidnappers entered the city via the River Ogun, which serves as the town’s natural boundary.

Oba Abdul-Ganiyu Sanyaolu, the town’s traditional ruler, confirmed the incident to reporters, saying that the bandits abducted two Chinese nationals, a male and a female.

Meanwhile, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Public Relations Officer for the Ogun State Police, reported that the kidnappers had fled via the same River Ogun.
